STUDY SKINS (2021 - 2022) A series in which found objects are covered in cotton pulp and, once dry, removed to leave a hollow paper form. The origins of each device are rooted in service to the body and span multiple decades, recalling a long history of cheap luxury “prosthetics” intended to defer aging and death. The lifespan of the found objects, however, far transcend our own. They circulate through purgatorial spaces - trash piles, landfills, second hand stores, attics, etc.
